Jeanine A Gregoire
Assistant Professor
gregoire@augsburg.edu

“I want to get students actively involved in learning and gaining experience. Then translating that experience by teaching in a classroom, planning units, and evaluations.” Gregoire believes in the mentoring process of the Education department and the relationship between the student and the professor. Her focus is to graduate students that are the best teachers possible.

Gregoire is concerned with gender equity in science education and has created the Girls in Engineering Mathematics and Science (G.E.M.S.) to get young girls involved in the field of science; another opportunity for students to gain experience teaching within the G.E.M.S. program. Gregoire also focuses on program development that helps get the sciences into the schools and homes of underserved children of the community. “I am proud to be able to be in a profession that is able to give back to an education system that gave so much to me and give back to a larger community.”
