Internships in political science are possible in the government, non-profit, and private sectors. Typically a faculty advisor will work with a student to plan the internship experience. Political science majors may choose to work on political campaigns or in the offices of elected officials in Minnesota, or they may plug into non-governmental work on the local, state or national level. There are new opportunities every semester. Find more information at the Strommen Center for Meaningful Work, or talk to your advisor.
