Welcome to my personal Web site. I'm a Professor at
Augsburg
College in Minneapolis, an author, and a consultant. I'm sometimes
introduced as a Ph.D., PMP, and mother of three! Parents know which of
those three accomplishments is most challenging and rewarding.
MY students can find a lot of important information under the My Classes link
above. Presentations I've given are under My Bio. I was recently named educator
of the year by AITP.
I self-published An Introduction to
Project Management, Third Edition in August 2009, with a revised
edition in April 2010. The only change in the revised editions (besides corrections) is making
Appendix A based on Project 2010. Instructors should
email me directly (schwalbe@augsburg.edu)
for a desk copy of the new Intro PM text and go to
www.cengage.com for the IT PM text.
You can purchase all of my books using the amazon.com links below. If amazon's discount isn't good, go to www.intropm.com.
Bookstores wanting to order copies of An
Introduction to Project Management, Third Edition, email me
(schwalbe@augsburg.edu) for
discount information.
Access the FREE companion Web site for An Introduction to Project Management, Third Edition at
www.intropm.com.
So you can still buy the Revised book for under $60 and use the old
appendix, if needed. Or you can buy just the new Appendix A for about
$10 in a book format or for only $7 as a pdf file. The Kindle version of the whole book is just $50.
You can purchase an access code for companion Web sites, the Fissure
simulation, or electronic copies of Cengage's books from
www.cengagebrain.com.
You can also access the templates and Project files from the Book FAQ
link on the left on this page. Click the
Test Advice link for more information on the PMP and other exams, which my books
will help you pass.
If you're not interested in project management, feel free to explore my other ideas on teaching, quilting, photography, etc. to explore
your own creative talents.
