Non-traditional Scholarship

1.      Worked with Marc Isaacson, a new member of our department, to teach a new course, MIS360, Problem Solving for Business.  I taught the fall day school section in 2002, and Marc taught the fall WEC section.  I’ve also worked with other faculty through the years to continuously update our MIS courses and program

2.      Reader/advisor for two WEC students who wrote papers for departmental honors, Cindy Dawson and Tom Miller, in 2003

3.      Assisted two Ph.D. students, one at the University of Minnesota and one at Capella University, in preparing their dissertations.  Both students had read my textbook in one of their courses and asked me for advice. I was on the thesis committee for the Capella student, who finished his Ph.D. in June 2003

4.      Reviewed a paper for the European Journal of Information Systems that referenced by book, 2002
