Augsburg Jazz
Start with a solid roots foundation. Mix in a diverse collection of pop, latin, gospel, and rock. Infuse cultural awareness and embracement. Pile on the innovations, improvisations, and creativity. Crank the spirit up to 11 and you have the Augsburg Jazz Program. Under the direction of Dr. Robert Stacke and vocal coach Susan Druck, the ensemble features a stompin' big band and outstanding singers. Music selections range from jazz standards to a capella Beatles to powerful gospel freedom songs to Frank Zappa. Working alongside acclaimed guests artists and encouraging student-driven arrangements and originals, the group's performances vary in style but always bring the house down, whether it be the house of the Lord, the Dakota Jazz Club, or school houses across the country.Events and Concerts
