Andra Adolfson is the business development director of Adolfson & Peterson Construction, Inc., a nationwide commercial construction company co-founded by her grandfather in 1946, and led by her father, David Adolfson. She oversees market analysis for the firm and provides leadership in marketing and the management of client relationships. Adolfson's background also includes a significant expertise in and support of the arts, including work for the Southern Vermont Arts Center and the Manchester Film Festival. Her volunteer service also includes Minnesota Commercial Real Estate Women (MNCREW), and Luther Seminary, where she has served on committees including Master Planning, Young Donors, Member Services, and Women in Philanthropy. Adolfson holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota. She was elected to the Augsburg board in October 2007. |

Dan W. Anderson is chairman of Swenson Anderson Financial Group in Minneapolis, with planners located throughout Minnesota and neighboring states. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from Augsburg College in 1965. He was an All-American basketball player at Augsburg and led the team to three MIAC championships, being named MIAC Player of the Year three times. In 1977 he was inducted into the Augsburg Athletic Hall of Fame. Anderson was a charter member of the New Jersey Nets and played for both the Nets and the Minnesota Pipers professional basketball teams in the American Basketball Association. He serves a number of professional organizations including the Financial Planning Association and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and is a board member of Metro Hope Ministries. Anderson is a regional director for Financial Network Investment Corporation, a securities broker-dealer, and a general agent for a variety of insurance companies. He was elected to the Augsburg board in October 2003. |

Jackie P. Cherryhomes graduated cum laude from Augsburg in 1976 and attended the Humphrey Institute Reflective Leadership Program in 1980. She served on the Minneapolis City Council from 1990-2002, the last eight years as its president. Cherryhomes’ civic activities have included serving on the boards of the Minneapolis Athaeneum and The City, Inc.; as well as president of the Minneapolis Aquatennial Ambassador Organization. She is also co-chair of the capital campaign for the Northside YMCA. Cherryhomes is founder of Cherryhomes-Tyler, LLC, providing government relations assistance to businesses in the Twin Cities, and is a real estate development consultant. She is married to attorney F. Clayton Tyler, also a graduate of Augsburg College. Cherryhomes was elected to the Augsburg board in October 1998. |

Mark A. Eustis is president and chief executive officer of Fairview Health Services. Prior to that he held positions at Ascension Health in St. Louis, Mo., and Barnes Jewish Christian HealthCare, and taught healthcare administration at Washington University. Eustis has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Minnesota. He has been active in national and local healthcare-related organizations, including the American Hospital Association and Mid-America Transplant Services, and in community organizations such as American Heart Association, United Way of Greater St. Louis, and Boy Scouts of America. He was elected to the Augsburg board in September 2008. |

Anthony L. Genia Jr., MD graduated from Augsburg College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985. During his undergraduate education he served as president of the Augsburg College Intertribal Student Union. He attended the University of Minnesota Medical School, during which time he served on the Executive Council of the Association of Native American Medical Students (including serving as chairperson, 1989-90). Genia then attended the University of New Mexico where he completed a residency in emergency medicine at the university hospital. Currently, Genia is certified as a diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. His principal practice is at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, in Minneapolis. Genia was elected to the Augsburg College Board of Regents in October 2004. |

Alexander J. Gonzalez is a senior financial advisor at Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and is a member of the Stonebridge Group, a values-based team with a non-commissioned structure. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and the National Association of Fraternal Insurance counselors (NAFIC), where he received their President’s Production Award. In addition he has received the Home Service Quality Sales Award. Gonzalez graduated from Augsburg in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration–marketing/economics. He currently is president of the board at La Oportunidad in Minneapolis. He was elected to the Augsburg board in September 2008 |

Michael R. Good graduated from Augsburg College in 1971 with a major in sociology and a physical education minor. He became the College’s head wrestling coach and admissions counselor for one year after his graduation. He then completed his master’s degree at the University of St. Thomas. During his career at Augsburg, Good was a two-time NAIA All American in wrestling, twice captain of the wrestling team, and was recognized as the Honor Athlete in 1971. He is currently president and chief executive officer of Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates, Inc. In 1991 Good was inducted into the Augsburg College Athletic Hall of Fame. Good was elected to the Augsburg board in 2001, and was elected its chairman in May 2008. |

Norman R. Hagfors is the founder and recently-retired president of Norsen, Inc., the management and engineering consulting firm he founded. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota in electrical engineering. He served as an Augsburg College regent from 1989-2001, providing active participation during a critical stage of the College’s growth. In October 2005 he was re-elected to the Augsburg board. Hagfors is active in the community and church. |

Jodi Harpstead is chief operating officer at Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota. Prior to her position with LSS—where she leads marketing, fundraising, and public policy—Harpstead was an executive for 23 years with Medtronic, Inc., holding several key positions, including president of global marketing and U.S. sales in the Cardiac Rhythm Management Division, and general manager of cardiac surgery technology. Harpstead serves on the boards of Delta Dental Plan of Minnesota and the Girl Scout Council of St. Croix Valley. She has also served on the boards of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Mutual Funds, the Plymouth Christian Youth Center, and Lutheran Campus Ministry of Minnesota. She holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a Master of Business Administration in finance from Michigan State University. She was elected to the Augsburg board in October 2005. |

Richard C. Hartnack has held positions since the beginning of his banking career in 1971 in corporate banking at First Interstate Bank of Oregon, and in community banking at First Chicago and at Union Bank of California. He currently is vice chairman and head of consumer banking at U.S. Bancorp. Hartnack has a bachelor’s degree in economics from UCLA and a master’s degree in business administration from Stanford University. He is a graduate of the Strategic Marketing Management program at the Harvard Business School. |

Rev. Rolf Jacobson is a writer and educator, and associate professor of Old Testament at Luther Seminary. Prior to joining the Luther Seminary faculty in 2003, he was an assistant professor of religion at Augsburg College. Jacobson earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of St. Thomas, a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary, and a doctoral degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. Ordained in 1991, Jacobson served for five years as associate pastor of Como Park Lutheran Church in St. Paul. Jacobson is the author of one book and many articles that focus on Old Testament theology and the study of the psalms and prophets. |

Rev. Craig E. Johnson was first elected bishop of the Minneapolis Area Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in June 2001 and re-elected in June 2007. He graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a degree in business administration and was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus in 2008. In 1973, he earned a Master of Divinity degree from Northwestern Theological Seminary and was ordained, going on to serve churches including Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis and Transfiguration Lutheran Church in Bloomington. Johnson has been a board member at Gustavus Adolphus College, the Association of Congregations, and the Cathedral of the Pines. He currently serves on the boards of the ELCA Conference of Bishops, the Minnesota Council of Churches, and Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, as well as being a member of the Faith in the City Governing Board and the ELCA Program Unit for Vocation and Education. He was appointed to the Augsburg board ex officio in September 2008. |

Ruth E. Johnson, MD is a consultant in the Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic and assistant professor of medicine at Mayo Medical School. She founded the Mayo Breast Clinic in 1993 and continues in patient care, education, and research for women with benign and malignant breast disease, and women at high risk for breast cancer. Johnson earned her bachelor’s degree summa cum laude at Augsburg College in 1974 in chemistry and biology. She graduated from Mayo Medical School in 1978 and completed her residency at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. She is board certified in internal medicine. First elected to the Augsburg Board of Regents in 1994, she served as board secretary and chair of the Academic and Student Affairs Committee, and was instrumental in forming the Science Advisory Board. Johnson has served as co-chair of the Campaign Cabinet, vice-chair of the Regent’s Committee, as a member of the Presidential Search Committee, and as an ex officio member of the Executive Committee. She was recognized as a Distinguished Alumna of Augsburg in 1996. |

Eric J. Jolly has been president of the Science Museum of Minnesota since 2004, and led the museum through its centennial year in 2007. He is recognized nationally for his commitment to improving the achievement gap and education in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Jolly earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a minor in physics, from the University of Rhode Island. He has master’s and doctoral degrees in psychology from the University of Oklahoma. He was elected to the Augsburg board in September 2008. |

Dean Kennedy, an Augsburg alumnus, is president of TFI, a securities firm located in Dallas, Texas. A Fridley, Minn., native, Kennedy was a four-year varsity wrestler at Augsburg and an All-American his senior year. He was also a two-time Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion and twice named Outstanding Wrestler in the MIAC tournament. In 1996 he was inducted into the Augsburg Athletic Hall of Fame. He was elected to the Augsburg board in October 2005. |

Dean C. Kopperud has served the financial services industry for over 28 years, spending the last four years as director of sales for Oppenheimerfunds, Inc., in New York. Prior to his position with Oppenheimerfunds, he was president and chief executive officer of Fortis Financial Group, where he also served as senior vice president of sales and marketing. Kopperud has also held positions as senior vice president of integrated resources, and director of marketing and sales for Northwestern National Life Insurance Company. Kopperud is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas. He served as an Augsburg regent from 1998-2004 and was re-elected to board in 2005. |

André Lewis has served as director of marketing and community affairs and president of the RBC Dain Rauscher Foundation since 2002, and previously held a similar position at Honeywell. His background in education includes serving as principal at both Washburn and South high schools. Lewis graduated from Augsburg in 1973 and earned a PhD from the University of Minnesota. He has been active in Augsburg’s Corporate Connections program. |

Gloria C. Lewis has been president and chief executive officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities since 2005, following more than 25 years of experience in public and non-profit administration, most recently as director of the Minnesota Department of Health’s Office of Minority and Multicultural Health. Lewis has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Hampton University and a master’s degree from Boston University. |

Jennifer H. Martin is senior vice president of human resources for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and is a member of the Executive Management Team. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Southern Illinois University, and a master’s degree and doctorate in education from the University of Minnesota. After 15 years teaching in the Minneapolis public school system, she accepted a personnel training specialist position with Sperry Corporation, now Unisys Corporation, where she was vice president of human resources at Unisys Corporation Government Systems, as well as director of human resources for Unisys’ Electronics and Communications Systems Divisions. In 1995 she joined Lutheran Brotherhood as senior vice president of human resources. Martin is a former board director of both Allina Health Care and the Minneapolis Downtown Council, and was recently elected to the board of the Children's Home Society. She was elected to the Augsburg board in October 2001. |

Marie O. McNeff, is a retired academic dean and professor emerita of education at Augsburg College. She began her long career in education as a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse in her native Nebraska. In 1968 she joined Augsburg’s education faculty, and for the next 27 years taught elementary education classes, as well as courses in both Weekend College and the Master of Arts in Leadership program. In 1995 she was appointed vice president for academic affairs and dean of the College. She left this position in 1999 to spend her last year prior to retirement as Augsburg’s academic master planner, creating a blueprint to implement the academic provisions of Augsburg 2004, the College’s vision document. McNeff earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education, as well as an EdD in administration from the University of Nebraska. She was elected to the Augsburg board in October 2005. |

Paul S. Mueller, MD is an internal medicine consultant at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Following his graduation from Augsburg in 1984, he attended the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the School of Hygiene and Public Health, and completed a residency in internal medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. In 1995, after several years on the faculty of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Mueller returned to Minnesota to join the staff at Mayo Clinic. Mueller is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, and is active in his church and community. He has been a member of Augsburg’s Alumni Board, serving as its president in 2003-04. He was elected to the Augsburg board in October 2005. |

Rev. Duane Pederson was installed as bishop of the ELCA Northwest Synod of Wisconsin in August 2007. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 1977 from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., and continued on for a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary. In 1984, he received a Master of Education degree in counseling from Montana State University, and in 1991 he earned a doctoral degree in organizational development from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. Paul C. Pribbenow is the 10th president of Augsburg College. Before coming to Augsburg College in 2006, Pribbenow served as president of Rockford College in Rockford, Ill. He also has served as research fellow for the Center of Inquiry in the Liberal Arts at Wabash College (Indiana); dean for College Advancement and secretary of the Board of Trustees at Wabash College; vice president of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago; and associate dean of the Divinity School of the University of Chicago. Pribbenow holds a bachelor’s degree from Luther College, and a master’s degree and PhD in social ethics from the University of Chicago. Pribbenow has chaired the state board of the Illinois Campus Compact. He was named a McCormick Presidential Civic Leader Fellow in 2003-04 and 2005-06. |

Stephen Sheppard is former chief executive officer of Foldcraft Co., a rural Minnesota furniture company that became known for its innovative programs formed around its employee ownership. Sheppard has become a leading expert in the field of employee ownership, and Foldcraft was recognized in 1998 by the ESOP Association as the Outstanding Employee Owned Company in the U.S. In 1999, Sheppard retired from Foldcraft to head up the new Winds of Peace Foundation, which addresses global problems of poverty, injustice, and lack of opportunity, particularly as they exist in Nicaragua. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Luther College. |

Marshall S. Stanton, MD, is vice president for clinical research and general manager of the cardiac rhythm disease management (CRDM) business of Medtronic, Inc. He joined Medtronic in 1998 as the medical director for the CRDM business and then headed the CRDM business in Japan before beginning his current position. Stanton’s prior experience includes serving on the faculty at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia. He was a fellow in cardiology and electrophysiology at Indiana University and a Mayo Scholar. For three years he was a member of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Medicare Coverage Advisory Committee. He currently serves on the board of Continua, a non-profit industry alliance of health care and technology companies. |

Philip R. Styrlund graduated from Augsburg in 1979 with a double major in business administration and finance and a minor in political science. He subsequently earned a Master of Science degree in telecommunications science and a Master of Arts in business management from St. Mary's College. He is currently president of The Summit Group, an international education and development firm focused on senior level engagement within the sales/marketing disciplines. Styrlund is also president of Peak Learning, an applied research and development firm focused on the study of human capacity and organizational behavior. He currently serves on the board of Urban Ventures Leadership Foundation, the Management Assistance Program (MAP), and the British Business Trade Association. He is also actively involved in the International Fellowship Foundation in Washington D.C. He was elected to the Augsburg board in October 2000. |

Emily Anne Tuttle is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and has her master’s degree in public administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She was the first DFL woman elected to the Minnesota Senate and specialized in healthcare policy. She was also elected to the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners. She is currently on the boards of the Guthrie Theater, Abbott Northwestern Hospital Foundation, Hamm Clinic, Pangea World Theater and the Minnesota Community Foundation. Tuttle was elected to the Augsburg board in October 2003. |

Joan Volz is a private practice attorney specializing in mediation. She received her bachelor’s degree at Augsburg College in 1968, majoring in philosophy, with minors in chemistry and religion. She received her law degree and MBA in general management from the University of Minnesota. She has served on the Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board, the Ethics Committee of the Ramsey County Bar Association, and on the Boy Scouts Viking Council Executive Board. She served on Augsburg’s board from 1994-2006, and was elected again in October 2007. |

Rev. Norman Wahl is executive pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church, the site of Augsburg’s campus in Rochester, Minn., and served on the task force that led to the formation of the Rochester program. After Augsburg, Wahl graduated from Luther Seminary and returned to earn a Doctor of Ministry degree from the seminary in 1997. He was ordained in 1979 and has served parishes in Viborg, S.D., rural Alden, Minn., and St. Charles, Minn. Wahl also served on the Alumni Board, Campaign Cabinet, and on staff at Augsburg College. |

Bonnie Wallace, a member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa in northern Minnesota, earned a degree in social welfare from the University of Minnesota. In 1978, she came to Augsburg to develop and implement the American Indian Support Program, which she administered until 1996 when she met her goal of graduating 100 native students. Leaving Augsburg to move “back home,” she continues to serve the Fond du Lac Reservation as their scholarship director and serves on various local and national Indian advisory committees. Wallace is also active in cancer volunteer work, and completed the Avon Walk in 2000, a 3-day walk from Kenosha, Wis., to Chicago. She has established The Bearheart Women's Foundation, a cancer advocate organization for native people in memory of her sister Nada. Augsburg established the Bonnie Wallace Leadership Award in recognition of her service to the College. |
