Registrar's Office - INFORMATION FOR NEW FACULTY
E-mail and Network Services
Even if you already have a personal e-mail account, it is beneficial to use an Augsburg e-mail account when communicating with students, faculty, and staff. You were assigned an @augsburg.edu account when you were hired. Many important messages and announcements are distributed to the campus community by e-mail. Your e-mail username and password also give you access to AugNet, Augsburg's intranet. AugNet also is your portal to public and private file storage, obtaining class rosters, and submitting grades online. Access to any public computer on campus including classroom computers requires this AugNet username and password.
E-mail sent to your @augsburg.edu account can be managed from any computer with access to the internet. Contact your department's Liaison for Computing (LFC) for more information.

Class List
Current Class Lists are available online through AugNet. You will need your username and password. Please note the official class list is found on AugNet Records and Registration, not Moodle.
We recommend that faculty download a class list before classes start, after the last day to add, and around mid-term.
Taking Attendance
It is important that faculty take attendance in their classes at the beginning of term and continue to monitor enrollment throughout the term. If you notice that a student is chronically absent or has stopped attending, please create an Academic Alert for the student noting his/her last date of attendance. It is important to know the student's last date of attendance when a student officially or unofficially withdraws in order to determine financial aid eligibility.
Grade Entry Procedures
Grade submission is completed by faculty through AugNet. Log in with your username and password. Click on "My Classes" then select the class/section.
If a student is on your class list but did not attend or stopped attending during the term without earning a grade, please enter a zero (0.0) grade at the end of the term.
Incomplete grades (I) are to be given only in the case of extreme emergeny. Students must file an approved Application for Incomplete Grade form with the Registrar's Office by the last class day of the term.
