Partnership Grant
The Augsburg Partnership Grant applies to newly enrolling students only and allows employees of partner institutions to receive a tuition discount in the form of a grant. Students qualify for the partnership tuition discount according to their employment status at the time of their entry into a graduate or adult undergraduate program only. Application fees of $35 are waived and if a student enrolls in an Employer Tuition Reimbursement Payment Plan, the $30 processing fee is also waived. Partnership students will receive deferred payment, meaning they are not required to make out-of-pocket payments on their tuition until 60 days after the end of the term.

Alumni Discount
Augsburg University graduates receive a discount for their entire program.
American Indian Scholarships
American Indian students who meet federal, state, or tribal requirements may apply for special scholarships. Contact Augsburg’s American Indian Student Services program for more information.
AmeriCorps/Lutheran Services Corp Tuition Grant
Students who have served with AmeriCorps or Lutheran Volunteer Corps receive a discount for their entire program.
Mayo Employee Discount (RN-BSN students only)
Incoming RN-BSN students from Mayo Clinic receive a discount for their entire program. This applies to newly enrolling students only as of Spring 2018. Students qualify for the tuition discount according to their employment status at the time of their entry into the RN-BSN program only. Application fees of $35 are waived and if a student enrolls in an Employer Tuition Reimbursement Payment Plan, the $30 processing fee is also waived. Military Tuition Grant
Augsburg offers a grant to students who have served or are currently serving full- or part-time in any branch of the United States armed forces or veterans of any branch. For more detailed information, including additional VA benefit programs, visit the Military Support website. Please inform your admissions counselor of your service to receive this grant.
Federal and State Grants
Students should apply for financial aid (submit their FAFSA) to determine eligibility for additional need based grants. The college provides Financial Aid Instructions to assist with the process.
American Indian Recognition Full Tuition Program
Augsburg’s American Indian Recognition Full Tuition Program aims to support and promote the importance of American Indian students on campus. The program will cover all remaining tuition and fees after federal and state gift aid has been applied for eligible students starting in Fall 2022. INCLUSION EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP (Graduate Programs)
Aimed to reduce financial barriers to graduate education for BIPOC identifying students, historically under-represented students, first generation college students, and/or those with the greatest financial need.
Amount: $5000.
Open Date: The scholarship application will be available via your application portal on May 1, 2024.
Deadline to apply: June 1st (Priority Deadline), June 30th (Final Deadline)
- Racialized lived experience as someone who identifies with backgrounds historically excluded from and underrepresented in college education and career paths.
- First generation college graduate (neither parent/guardian having completed a baccalaureate degree).
- Other lived experiences historically underrepresented and/or marginalized within graduate education including but not limited to the following:
- Holding DACA, TPS, refugee, or asylee status
- Having a gender and/or sexual orientation identity historically underrepresented in the applicant’s profession
- Individuals with a disability
