Volunteer Opportunities Available
Cooking and Meal Preparation
Prepare tasty, healthy meals using rescued and donated food! Cooking and Meal Preparation shifts are two hours long and are located in the dining services kitchen at Augsburg. During these shifts, we will cook and package food for delivery. No cooking experience is necessary, and all volunteers will be trained in basic kitchen safety.
Meal Delivery
Bring meals to low-income adults, seniors, and youth in the local neighborhood! Learn more about your neighbors and make a connection with your community! On Delivery shifts, we deliver meals, serve food, and interact with clients. Meal Delivery shifts vary in time and type of delivery; volunteers either deliver individual meals to clients' homes or serve food at community centers. Transportation is provided to delivery sites.
Food Rescue
Save prepared food from being lost into the trash! Volunteers rescue safe, prepared food that has not been served for use in the Campus Kitchen.
