StepUP Program -
Admission to The StepUP Program
To become enrolled in the StepUP Program, prospective students must apply to both Augsburg College and to the StepUP Program. The StepUP Program seeks men and women that are dedicated to recovery and academics without regard to race, creed, disability, national or ethnic origin, gender, sexual or affectional orientation, or age. The qualifications for acceptance into the StepUP Program are as follows:
- Acceptance into Augsburg College by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions
- In-person screening interview with a StepUP counselor
- Agreement to reside within the StepUP Program floor houses on campus
- Satisfactory and positive written recommendation by the applicant's most recent treatment, halfway house counselor, or another person intimately familiar with the applicant's recovery program (such as sponsor), outlining the recommended continuing care plan.
- A commitment to sobriety as evidenced by working a healthy recovery program
- Agreement to abide by the StepUP Program contract while enrolled in the StepUP Program
