Who We Are

Ann Garvey
Ann Garvey is the Vice President of Student Affairs at Augsburg College. Ann began at Augsburg in 1998, and has worked in public and private, two-year and four-year institutions, in a variety of positions in student affairs over the past 30 years. Her experience includes work in academic advising, residence life, campus activities, orientation, career services, and student centers.
Ann holds a B.A. from the College of St. Catherine, an M.A. (English) from Loyola University of Chicago, and a J.D. from the University of Minnesota.

Sarah Griesse
Sarah Griesse became an Auggie in 2006 and is currently the Dean of Students at Augsburg College. Sarah’s career in higher education includes leadership roles in both public and religiously affiliated private colleges and universities. Over her 30 years in student affairs, Sarah has experience working with residence life, student programming, student orientation, and student conduct.
Sarah holds a B.A. from Wittenberg University, an M.A. (College Student Personnel) from The Ohio State University, and a Ph.D. (Higher Education Administration) from Loyola University of Chicago.

Tracy Christianson
Tracy Christiansonis the Administrative Assistant in Student Affairs at Augsburg College. A Twin Cities native, Tracy received her B.A. in Sociology from Augsburg College in 2008 and is currently working towards a Master of Arts in Leadership at Augsburg.
Tracy has experience working as an Administrative Assistant with different departments on campus and has worked as a Human Resources Assistant and receptionist at other organizations in the metro area.
