College of the Third Age
Augsburg’s College of the Third Age (COTA) is a teaching and learning service for older adults. Founded over thirty years ago, College of the Third Age encourages life-long learning, fosters interactive discussion, and introduces new topics and subjects related to an ever-changing world. Our faculty members are working, semi-retired, and retired professors and community professionals, with expertise and experience in their field of interest. Classes range in topic from art to spirituality, politics to literature, and everything in between.
COTA partners with those organizations and facilities that serve older adults, including places of worship, senior living sites, community centers, professional organizations, and schools. Site partners schedule classes at the location, date, and time of their choosing. Classes are generally one-hour in length and cost $125, although other formats are available.
