The Augsburg University Campus

For Admitted Students

Congratulations on your acceptance to Augsburg University!

We are excited to have you as an official Auggie and get you ready for the upcoming semester. Please review your next steps for a smooth transition to campus.

Set up Your Advising Appointment

Once admitted, you’ll receive an email from Academic Advising outlining next steps to get registered for classes, including scheduling your advising appointment and activating your student account so you can view your transfer credit evaluation online. During your appointment, you’ll complete any required assessment tests, meet with an advisor to review graduation requirements, and register for courses. Questions? Contact Academic Advising at 612-330-1025.

Registration is open through September 1st for Fall term. The earlier you meet with an adviser, the better course selection will be.

Get Your Augsburg Swag

Upon registering for courses with Academic Advising, stop by the admissions office and join the rest of your enrolled classmates by signing your name to The Wall and grabbing your Augsburg swag.

Financing Your Education

Are you planning to apply for financial aid? Complete the steps listed on the Student Financial Services webpage. If you want to be considered for scholarships only, please let your admission counselor know or email studentfinances@augsburg.edu.

Once we receive your FAFSA we will email you your financial aid award. The email will include instructions on how to schedule an appointment to review your financial aid award, and discuss loan or payment options. We recommend that all students check in with a financial aid counselor as Financial aid and billing are not the same at all colleges.

If you indicated your interest in housing on campus, your financial award will reflect this. If you later decide to live off-campus, your financial aid award will change.

Questions? Contact Student Financial Services at 612-330-1046.

Review Housing Options

Once admitted, you will begin receiving information from Residence Life about housing options at Augsburg. Transfer students are encouraged to connect with Residence Life early as space is sometimes limited. Visit the Residence Life page to learn more.

Attend Orientation

New Student Orientation will be held on Tuesday, September 5th for fall term. You will receive additional information as orientation nears and vital information about University policies and procedures will be covered. Learn more about Transfer SOAR.

Complete the Immunization Form

Immunization forms are required by the state of Minnesota and must be submitted to Augsburg before you can begin classes. A form is included in your admittance packet. You may also download an immunization form.

Purchase Your Parking Permit or Metro Pass

Once you have registered for classes, you may register for a parking permit for on campus parking. Visit the Department of Public Safety webpage for permit registration dates and additional information. Discounted Metro Transit Passes are also available at the bookstore.

Get Your Books

The Augsburg University Barnes & Noble Bookstore is located in the Oren Gateway Center, and books are generally for sale or rent about a month prior to the term starting. To order books online and to view bookstore hours, visit the Bookstore webpage. Registered students can purchase books out of pocket or charge up to $600 to their student account. You do not need to submit a request. View additional Bookstore information online.

Please contact your Admission Counselor if you have any additional questions. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
