Congratulations on your acceptance to Augsburg University!
We are excited to have you as an official Auggie and get you ready for the upcoming semester. Please review your next steps for a smooth transition to campus.
Register for Classes
Once admitted, you’ll receive an email from Academic Advising outlining your steps to get registered for classes, including scheduling your Advising & Registration event and activating your student account (AugNet) so you can view your transfer credit evaluation online.
During the Advising & Registration appointment, you will complete a math placement test (if required) and an advisor will discuss graduation requirements and help you register for courses.
Questions? Contact Academic Advising at 612-330-1025.
Registration for Fall 2019 opens in April.
Activate Your AugNet Account
Your AugNet account is your student account at Augsburg. This is where you will find your email, transfer evaluation, course registration and much more. Please visit our student computing website to set up your account soon. You will find your Student ID number on your acceptance letter.
Financing Your Education
Are you planning to apply for financial aid? Complete the steps listed on the Student Financial Services webpage. If you want to be considered for scholarships only, please let your admission counselor know or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once we receive your FAFSA we will email your financial aid award. The email will include instructions on how to schedule an appointment to review your award, and discuss loan and payment options. We recommend that all students check in with a financial aid counselor as financial aid and billing are not the same at all institutions.
If you indicated your interest in housing on campus, your award will reflect this. If you later decide to live off-campus, your award will change.
Questions? Contact Student Financial Services at 612-330-1046.
Register for Transfer Student Orientation
Transfer orientation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019. You will receive additional information as orientation nears and vital information about University policies and procedures will be covered at this mandatory event.
Review Housing Options
Once admitted, you will begin receiving information from Residence Life about housing options at Augsburg. Transfer students are encouraged to connect with Residence Life early as space is sometimes limited. Visit the Residence Life page to learn more.
Complete the Immunization Form
Immunization forms are required by the state of Minnesota and must be submitted to Augsburg before you can begin classes. A form is included in your acceptance packet. You may also download an immunization form.
Purchase Your Parking Permit or Metro Pass
Once you have registered for classes, you may register for a parking permit for on campus parking. Visit the Department of Public Safety webpage for permit registration dates and additional information. Discounted Metro Transit Passes are also available at the bookstore.
Get Your Books
The Augsburg University Barnes & Noble Bookstore is located in the Oren Gateway Center, and books are generally for sale or rent one month prior to the start of the term. To order books online and to view bookstore hours, visit the Bookstore webpage. Registered students can purchase books out of pocket or charge up to $600 to their student account. View additional Bookstore information online.
Please contact your Admission Counselor if you have any additional questions. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
