Math Lab

Students who are in Augsburg mathematics courses may receive supplemental instruction or private tutoring, depending on the circumstances. In addition, professors provide office hours, and students often form study groups for courses. Math instructors will provide supplemental instruction and tutoring information to students as classes begin.

The TRIO McNair Program prepares Augsburg students for graduate school through involvement in research and other scholarly activities. To qualify students must be underrepresented in graduate studies such as students of color, low-income, and first-generation college students. The major component of the McNair Scholars Program is a 10 week-long summer research program with a faculty mentor.

The Anne Pederson Women’s Resource Center offers all students space to study or relax as well as free condoms, pregnancy tests, emergency pads, and information about where to find emergency contraception, free birth control, and a full range of pregnancy options. We sponsor programming on safer sex, birth control, and on sexual assault. We also provide space for breastfeeding moms to pump and store milk.

The Writing Lab offers one-to-one tutoring to students who want help in developing the skills necessary for effective writing. Students are encouraged to bring in projects at any stage of completion – rough notes, drafts, finished essays, graded papers – and are offered help with any aspect of the writing process.
