First-Year Registration

Summer Orientation and Registration (SOAR)

There are three actions steps you’ll take in order to get a final schedule and advisor meeting:

1. Take the Math Placement Test
2. Complete the 2020 Augsburg Seminar Registration Form
3. Complete the Fall 2020 Course Request Form

You can verify which of these steps you still need to complete, as well as review your missing items checklist on your student status page.

Once your fall class schedule is complete, you will receive an email from advising@augsburg.edu. After receiving your course schedule, you can meet with your academic advisor to make changes or to answer any questions.

SOAR

At SOAR, academic advisors will present Augsburg’s academic curriculum and requirements. We will also present you with your AugSem class.

After SOAR, academic advisors will work with you to finish your class schedule once the university determines the safest method of instruction to offer you these classes.

College Credit Earned in High School

First-year students who have earned college credits in high school through programs such as Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), College in the Schools (CIS), or Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) will need to have an official transcript sent to Augsburg by the credit-granting organization to be awarded credit — a high school transcript will not be sufficient.
