{"id":44854,"date":"2014-07-23T20:27:11","date_gmt":"2014-07-23T20:27:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/alumni\/?p=44854"},"modified":"2021-09-14T18:24:35","modified_gmt":"2021-09-14T18:24:35","slug":"alumna-receives-award-excellence-teaching","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/alumni\/2014\/07\/23\/alumna-receives-award-excellence-teaching\/","title":{"rendered":"Alumna Receives Award for Excellence in Teaching"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In July, alumna Amy Vatne Bintliff &#8217;01 was the recipient of the Teaching Tolerance\u00a0Excellence in Teaching award. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tolerance.org\/\">Teaching Tolerance<\/a> is\u00a0a project of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.splcenter.org\/\">Southern Poverty Law Center<\/a>,\u00a0which aims to reduce prejudice, improve intergroup relations and support equitable school experiences for children. The project also provides free educational resources to teachers and school practitioners to support its mission.<\/p>\n<p>Amy is an accomplished educator and author.
