What is Parent SOAR?

Parent SOAR is an optional orientation experience for the parents of incoming first-year students). Parents will obtain important information about the campus; meet fellow parents, faculty, and staff; learn about university resources and services; and get a taste of what life will be like for their student at Augsburg University.

Is DINNER PRovided?

Yes, dinner will be provided.

When and where do parents check-in for Parent SOAR?

Check-in will take place from 5:45-6:00 p.m. in the Hagfors Center Atrium and the program will conclude by 8:30 p.m.

For parents who are interested in attending a pre-session to learn about residential student life and living on-campus or about commuter student life and living off-campus, parents should check-in between 4:45-5:00 p.m. in the Hagfors Center Atrium.

Where can parents park during Parent SOAR?

Parents can park free of charge in Augsburg University Parking Lot L during Parent SOAR. A map of parking lots on campus can be found at augsburg.edu/about/map.

Auggie Days, the second part of the required orientation experience for first-year students, starts Friday, August 30 and runs until Friday, September 6. (Aug 30-Sept 3 are required programming days and Sept 4-6 are optional programming days.) STUDENTS SHOULD MARK THEIR CALENDARS.
