What is Sophomore Orientation?

Sophomore Orientation is a required orientation program for all day undergraduate students who started in fall semester 2022 or spring semester 2023 (not including transfer students). Students in attendance will meet or become reacquainted with students in their classes, meet faculty and staff, explore their major interests and how those map with their anticipated career choices, plan out their trajectory at Augsburg, and find out where their in-person classes will be taking place.

Is Sophomore Orientation required?

Yes. You must attend Sophomore Orientation if you started as a day undergraduate student in fall semester 2022 or spring semester 2023 (not including transfer students).

When will residential students attending Sophomore Orientation move onto campus?

Residence Life will be in touch with students who plan to live on campus in fall 2023 about their move-in date. All residential students attending Sophomore Orientation.

Any student with a disability-related concern in regards to Sophomore Orientation should contact the CLASS/Disability Resources Office at class@augsburg.edu or 612-330-1053. Contacting CLASS two or more weeks prior to Sophomore Orientation will help ensure that all necessary arrangements will be available.
