Augsburg University’s Campus Ministry team is excited to welcome Pastoral Intern Sarah Swindall (she/her/hers) to join us for the 2019-2020 academic year. Sarah is faithfully curious and passionate about building strong communities. She grew up in Naperville surrounded by others who had questions about God and leaders who helped to encourage conversation. She also grew up in church choir at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and loves to express her love of God in song. Sarah seeks out new opportunities to experience new places and meet people. In 2013 she traveled alone to Slovakia to teach English at a bilingual Lutheran high school in Martin. In her free time, she loves to swing dance, write creatively, and crochet blankets (the only thing her grandma taught her to make!). She enjoys deep conversations about God, asking genuine questions and hearing about other’s beliefs, thoughts and opinions. She gets to do this a lot at her seminary, the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. She seeks to live a life guided by a loving God and to have a heart called to greater purpose. She could not be more excited to get to know the community at Augsburg! We give thanks Sarah’s support team for the year: Coach Keith Bateman, Prof. Doug Green, Prof. Phil Quanbeck, II, Allyson Green, Lonna Field, and Rev. Justin Lind-Ayres.
