Accessibility Information

Updated: February 2023

For graduates who need to request personal accommodations, please email events@augsburg.edu or call University Events at 612-330-1104.

For guests who need to request accommodations, please review the information below.

What if I have a guest who is Deaf or hard of hearing?

For accommodation requests such as ASL interpreting or CART services, please email events@augsburg.edu with at least 2 weeks advance notice. At the event, please also notify a greeter about your accommodation request. An ASL interpreter will be available in the guest seating area. Accessible seating requests for those who are Deaf or hard of hearing and one companion should be requested by the graduate.

How do I reserve accessible seating?

Reserved accessible seating will be available to accommodate guests. If you require accessible seating for guests, please fill out this form to request a reserved seat. Guests needing accessibility seating will still need a standard guest ticket to enter the stadium. Once you enter the stadium, you will be directed to the accessibility seating table and event staff will bring your guest and one companion to the accessible seating area. Please note that in most situations, your guest with a reserved accessible seat will be able to have one companion from your group join them in the reserved section. We ask that the remainder of your group locate seats in the stadium’s general admission seating areas to ensure our ability to meet the needs of all guests requiring accessible seating.

Will the seats for my guests be located together?

In most situations, the guest with an accessible reserved seat will be able to have one companion from your group join them in the reserved section. As the total number of seats available for accessible seating is limited, we ask that the remainder of your group locate seats in the general admission seating areas to ensure our ability to meet the needs of all guests requiring accessible seating.

How many accessible seats should I reserve?

We suggest that you reserve one seat for your guest with accessible seating requirements and one seat for a companion to accompany that person. For example, if a grandparent will be attending the ceremony in a wheelchair, two accessible reserved seats should be requested (one for the grandparent and one for their companion).

Can I adjust the number of accessible tickets I need if our plans change?

If you need to adjust the allocation of your reserved seats, we are able to assist you with that in the University Events office. To make changes, please reach out to University Events at events@augsburg.edu or by calling 612-330-1104.

When and where should my guests enter the stadium?

All guests should go through security and enter the stadium at the northwest Legacy Gates, located on the west side of U.S. Bank Stadium. Augsburg team members will be available near the ticketing area to assist with locating the reserved accessible seating areas. Seats will be located at the top of the bowl so walking distance is limited. All guests with accessibility needs still need to have a standard guest ticket to enter the stadium.

Can my guests change their minds about where they prefer to sit within the stadium?

Yes. Upon arrival, your guests may decide that the availability of ramps, ushers, and aisle seats negates the need for accessible seating.

Does everyone need to be on the Accessible Seating list to sit in the reserved section?

Yes, guests intending to sit in this designated area must be on the Accessible Seating list and have a standard guest ticket. Ushers will be available to assist guests.
