Commencement Checklist

Up to 1-year prior to completing final graduation requirement

Fall semester:

  • Undergraduate Students: verify the accuracy of your personal information for the commencement bulletin, diploma, and final transcript. Ensure the timely awarding of your degree by completing the “Monitor Degree Progress” steps of the Graduation Checklist.
  • Graduate/Doctoral Students: Respond to communications from the program coordinator regarding graduation and commencement. Some coordinators provide a graduation form to their students; others have a less formal process. Some graduate/doctoral programs may also require a thesis presentation/defense or a non-thesis project, so be diligent about looking for and responding to all communications from program directors and coordinators.
