Graduate Participation

How to participate in the virtual ceremony

A prerecorded virtual ceremony will be streamed online. Graduates, families, and friends can watch and chat together during the streamed ceremony. A personalized slide of each graduate will be displayed during the ceremony. The doctoral and graduate program slides will be displayed first, in alphabetical order by program, with graduates recognized alphabetically by last name. The undergraduate program slides will then be displayed in alphabetical order by graduates’ last names.

After the scheduled viewing time, a video of the ceremony will be available to watch anytime. The platform party speeches, personalized slide of each graduate, and graduate video clips will also be searchable and available to watch individually. The video of graduates will be downloadable and able to be shared via social media and email.

On April 12, 2021, graduating students will receive an email from University Events with a link to submit a photograph, a personal message, and a short video through our external vendor, StageClip. Undergraduate and master program graduates will also receive a package consisting of a cap and tassel from Augsburg to use in your video and photograph. In the video, please state your name and feel free to share any academic or extracurricular groups or activities you’ve been involved in. Show your personality!

  • This link will be sent to your email address that the school has on file.

  • If you have not received the link by April 12, check your spam folder. If you still can’t find the link, email

  • See StageClip’s privacy policy at

Participants will have a graduate slide, which will be shared during the virtual ceremony (not the video). This is where your photo and personal message will be placed. If you don’t submit a photo or message, the slide will list your name and degree only.

Here are a few examples of video clips that will be created and given to graduates who upload a video. These clips will not be shown during the ceremony as they are for graduates to share with family and friends.
