Dawn Miller, MME, MT-BC, Fellow in the Association for Music and Imagery<\/p>\n
Dawn has a Master\u2019s degree in Music Education and Music Therapy from the University of Kansas, the Music Therapy (MT-BC) credential from the Certification Board for Music Therapy, and is a Fellow in the Association for Music and Imagery.<\/p>\n
Dawn has been employed as a Music Therapist for 32 years. She has created new Music Therapy programs at 5 hospital and hospice programs in Minnesota. She is currently a music therapist at Park Nicollet, where she created the position in 1995.<\/p>\n
Dawn was the first music therapist to create a paid music therapy position for a home care hospice program in the state of Minnesota. Music Therapy has now become a standard of care in Minnesota Hospice programs.<\/p>\n
In 2013, Dawn received the Health Partners \u201cPresident\u2019s Award,\u201d one of the highest honors that can be received.<\/p>\n
Dawn is the Music Therapy Internship Director at Park Nicollet. She recently began training her 128th intern and is celebrating 20 years of training interns.<\/p>\n
