Pribbenow<\/strong> has led the institution, <strong>the College has more than tripled the percentage of persons of color in the full undergraduate student body<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>growing from 11 percent in 2006 to 33 percent in 2016.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn Augsburg education is marked by broad and intentional diversity in which students learn at the intersections of academic disciplines, diverse viewpoints, rich faith traditions, socioeconomic backgrounds, gender expressions, military commitments, learning styles and more,\u201d Pribbenow said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know that in order to secure a vital and vibrant future for our cities, state, and region, we must be united in our drive for equity. Our location in the city \u2013 in one of the most diverse ZIP codes in the nation \u2013 allows Auggies the unique advantage of leveraging the richness and abundance that these many forms of diversity offer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h4>Morning Commencement: 10 a.m., Saturday, for students of the traditional undergraduate program<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>9:30 a.m. \u2013 Student Processional, Christensen Center. Group proceeds, led by drummer, from Christensen Center down South 7-1\/2 Street to Si Melby Hall. Faculty, in academic dress, line the streets and clap as students pass.<\/li>\n<li>Invocation and Welcome<\/li>\n<li>Commencement Address and Honorary Degree Recipient: Michael Botticelli, director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy<\/li>\n<li>Student Speaker: <strong>Keisha Barnard \u201916<\/strong>, sociology<\/li>\n<li>Conferring of Degrees<\/li>\n<li>American Indian Honoring Song: RedBone drum group will sing an American Indian honoring song for all students.<\/li>\n<li>Recessional: Students exit Si Melby.
