{"id":4592,"date":"2015-04-06T21:44:04","date_gmt":"2015-04-06T21:44:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/now\/?p=4592"},"modified":"2016-02-09T21:25:16","modified_gmt":"2016-02-09T21:25:16","slug":"wells-fargo-makes-100000-gift-to-the-center-for-science-business-and-religion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/now\/2015\/04\/06\/wells-fargo-makes-100000-gift-to-the-center-for-science-business-and-religion\/","title":{"rendered":"Wells Fargo makes $100,000 gift to the Center for Science, Business, and Religion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In recognition of Augsburg College\u2019s leadership in closing the higher education\u00a0disparity gap for students of color in Minnesota, Wells Fargo made a $100,000\u00a0gift to the campaign to build the Center for Science, Business, and Religion.\u00a0Wells Fargo joined several other corporations\u2014including 3M and General Mills\u2014in supporting the CSBR.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Dave Kvamme, CEO of Wells Fargo Minnesota,\u00a0in a statement expressed admiration for Augsburg\u2019s\u00a0commitment to partnering with college access programs\u00a0to help recruit, support, and retain first-generation and\u00a0low-income students.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cWe support Augsburg College\u2019s commitment to\u00a0provide opportunities for a college education for those\u00a0students who may face life challenges to attain it,\u201d\u00a0Kvamme said. \u201cWe know our donation will help Augsburg\u00a0be successful in developing Minnesota\u2019s future business\u00a0and community leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\">Did you know?<\/h3>\n<p>Wells Fargo also supports a\u00a0scholarship program through\u00a0the Minnesota Private College\u00a0Fund.
