{"id":9636,"date":"2019-11-21T21:31:31","date_gmt":"2019-11-21T21:31:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/now\/?p=9636"},"modified":"2019-11-21T21:31:31","modified_gmt":"2019-11-21T21:31:31","slug":"augsburg-launches-transit-pass-for-undergraduates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/now\/2019\/11\/21\/augsburg-launches-transit-pass-for-undergraduates\/","title":{"rendered":"Augsburg launches transit pass for undergraduates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">Augsburg University now offers the Auggie Pass, a universal transit pass that gives undergraduate students unlimited rides on buses and light rail in a first-of-its-kind partnership between Metro Transit and a Twin Cities university.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Augsburg\u2019s student government approved increasing the green fee by $5 to $20 per semester to pay for the Auggie Pass in order to reduce students\u2019 out-of-pocket costs while improving their chances of accepting jobs and internships that involve a commute. Day Student Government is officially responsible for overseeing the green fee that supports sustainability efforts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Auggie Pass is valid throughout the school year and is paid for from both the student green fee and university operating funds.
