Augsburg University has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to act as its agent for verification of student enrollment and degree status.<\/p>\n

The National Student Clearinghouse provides instant electronic verification of student degrees and student enrollment to employers, employment agencies, credit card companies, background search firms, travel companies, and various other businesses that offer products or services to enrolled students.<\/p>\n

For Students<\/h2>\n

You may obtain enrollment verifications by logging into\u00a0AugNet Records and Registration<\/a>\u00a0and clicking on the Enrollment Verification link.\u00a0 You then have the option to “Obtain an Enrollment Certificate” or “Obtain a Good Student Discount Certificate.” \u00a0When submitting either document to a third party, be sure to include any necessary account or policy numbers for identification purposes.<\/p>\n

Verifications may also be requested through the Enrollment Center. Download the\u00a0Enrollment Verification form<\/a>\u00a0and return it to the Enrollment Center for processing.<\/p>\n

Enrollment Status<\/h3>\n

Enrollment verifications\u00a0are not available through the National Student Clearinghouse nor from the Enrollment Center until after the last day to drop a course without notation each semester.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Your full-time or part-time status is based upon the number of credits in which you are enrolled.\u00a0 You are considered “registered” by scheduling classes for a specific term.\u00a0 You move from being “registered” to “enrolled” after the last day to drop a course without notation.<\/p>\n

Undergraduate Enrollment Status<\/h4>\n

Full-time: 12 semester credits
\nThree-quarter time: 9 semester credits
\nHalf-time: 6 semester credits<\/p>\n

Graduate Enrollment Status<\/h4>\n

Full-time: 6 semester credits
\nThree-quarter time: 4.5 semester credits
\nHalf-time: 3 semester credits<\/p>\n

Good Student Discount<\/h3>\n

Insurance companies often offer discounted premiums for scholastic achievement.\u00a0 Contact your insurance agent for eligibility requirements.\u00a0 If your insurance company will not accept a “Good Student Discount Certificate” from the National Student Clearinghouse, follow the instructions above to request an enrollment verification.\u00a0 Be sure to include any forms specific to your insurer that must be completed by Augsburg.<\/p>\n

Grade Point Average (GPA) Verification<\/h3>\n

Your grade-point average is rounded to the nearest thousandth, so you must have an Augsburg University GPA of 3.000 or above to be certified as having a “B” average. A 2.999 GPA cannot be rounded further and does not meet the “B” average criteria.<\/p>\n

Augsburg University does not track class rank.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Student Location Policy<\/h3>\n

Augsburg’s Student Location Policy<\/a> requires all enrolled students to have a permanent mailing address on file with the University, beginning at the time of application for admission. The permanent address provided by a student is considered the student\u2019s location. For students whose permanent address does not include a U.S. state or territory (e.g., students living outside the United States), their location will be considered the state of Minnesota.<\/p>\n

After a student begins enrollment, they can update their permanent mailing address with the Registrar\u2019s Office either through the student portal or by submitting an address change form. Students are encouraged to provide timely updates to the Registrar\u2019s Office when they move or otherwise wish to declare a new permanent address.
