how to check out of your space
There are two options to check out of your space – Face to Face Checkout or Express Vacate. All summer residents use the Express Vacate option.
Face to Face Checkout
Please ask your RA about how to schedule the Face to Face checkout meeting. Your RA will communicate when the deadline is to sign up for this meeting.
Please be present in your space when your RA arrives to check your space. During this meeting your RA will assess the space for damages or cleaning needs.
After your meeting with your RA, turn in your keys at the Residence Life office in the Urness/Mortensen lobby. Fill out the white key envelope found at the front desk, and drop your keys in the key drop box on the door.
If you miss your Face to Face checkout meeting, you will need to checkout using the Express Vacate option.

Keys must be turned in by the date and time you are scheduled to move out, late checkouts may result in fines.
Damages and Cost Sheet
Your space should be cleaned and possessions removed from the space before departing.
The Damage Cost Sheet listed below details the costs associated with common damages to residence life spaces. We encourage you to look over this spreadsheet so that you are better prepared for any possible damage costs attributed to your space
late stay requests
If you need to stay later than your assigned move out date, please fill out the Late Stay Request survey below. All late stays must be approved by your Residence Hall Director. If you have questions about whether or not your request was approved, email email@example.com to be connected with your Residence Hall Director.
Summer late stay requests are not typically approved as we have a short window to prepare for fall move in. This year we are fortunate to welcome a large incoming first year class so facilities staff will be directing their attention to prepare our residence halls for move in.
