2025-2026 Financial Aid Instructions:<\/h2>\n

Fall 2025 – Summer 2026<\/h3>\n

Applying for financial aid can sometimes be an intimidating process. We are here to help guide you through it by providing step by step instructions on how to apply.\u00a0 The 2025-2026 FAFSA is intended for students who plan to register in the 2025-2026 school year. By submitting a FAFSA, we will be able to determine what grants and student loans are available.\u00a0 Students wishing to be considered for only scholarships each year do not need to submit a FAFSA but should e-mail studentfinances@augsburg.edu<\/a> to let us know.<\/p>\n

How to Apply for Financial Aid<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Using your 2023 tax return, file a 2025-2026 FAFSA<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 Make sure to submit the FAFSA by signing with your FSA ID. Augsburg\u2019s school code is 002334.\u00a0 If you do not plan to file a FAFSA this year, please email studentfinances@augsburg.edu and let us know, so that we can change your status to “scholarship only” and disburse your Augsburg scholarships to your tuition account.<\/li>\n
  2. Attention Minnesota residents only: <\/strong>Look carefully at the confirmation page immediately upon completion of the online FAFSA. If you are prompted to apply for MN state-based financial aid, click on the link and answer the additional required questions (MN State Grant Questionnaire).<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Submit Additional Documentation as Requested.<\/strong>\u00a0 Some students will be selected for verification. Verification is a process in which the Financial Aid office must verify certain information that the student and\/or parent provided on the FAFSA. Students selected for Verification will be notified via email by Augsburg on what additional documentation is required. You can also \u201cTrack Your Financial Aid<\/a>\u201d and view the documents tab to see if additional documentation is required. Review Augsburg\u2019s Document Descriptions<\/a> for details about each document.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Student Loan Options<\/h2>\n

    Students may also wish to utilize student loans in order to help cover the cost of their education.\u00a0 Information about federal and private student loans can be found on your loans webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n
