It is important to know that counseling services from these professional counselors are privileged and confidential and will not generate an investigation, unless the allegations involve a minor, vulnerable adult, or an imminent threat to the life of a person. If time has passed since a sexual assault, dating\/domestic violence, or stalking incident, you still have resources available to assist you when you are ready as well as after you have reported such an incident. In addition to Augsburg University counseling, other community resources are available specifically to assist survivors of sexual assault and sexual violence.
