Augsburg’s integrated training of educational theory and practice develops reflective practitioners who are highly skilled and ready for the classroom, and passionate about giving back to their communities.
By offering classes that meet every other weekend, limited weekday evenings, and summer sessions, you can pursue your dreams of becoming a teacher, or advancing your teaching career, while continuing to work and maintaining family responsibilities.
Augsburg’s Graduate Programs in Education faculty members are a mix of full-time and adjunct instructors, all of whom have K-12 teaching experience and understand the challenges faced by working adult students. Your professors and classmates will also add to your professional network.
Augsburg’s Graduate Programs in Education are for those who have already earned a bachelor’s degree and are seeking a teaching license with an option to complete a master’s degree. Already licensed teachers can work towards the Master of Arts in Education by earning a second license in a different subject area.
