Journal of College Admission highlights Augsburg’s approach

A new initiative of the National Association for College Admission Counseling aims to research, develop, and scale innovative ideas with potential to transform college admission counseling. In collaboration with the Center for Innovation in College Admission, Augsburg is deepening its investment in the Augsburg Applies to You model with a focus on admission success coaching.

Biochemistry major Josué Fuentes ’28 and Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management Robert Gould were interviewed for the article.

“[W]here Augsburg stood out from the others was in its approach with prospective students, including Fuentes,” writes Rachel Williams. “Since direct admission meant time and effort didn’t have to be spent getting students to apply, admission professionals could instead spend this time helping students make informed decisions about whether Augsburg was right for them.”
