Augsburg College was one of several Twin Cities anchor institutions named in a recent MinnPost article on the roles these institutions play in strengthening Minnesota neighborhoods.
President Paul C. Pribbenow, who is chair of the Central Corridor Anchor Partnership, was quoted in the article. He described how anchor institutions view the benefits in their partnership work. “This is not just what we give to the community, it’s about our shared interests and mutual benefits,” Pribbenow said.
Fellow member of the Augsburg community Josh Ahrens, food service director for A’viands, also was quoted in the article. MINNEAPOLIS – Augsburg College is pleased to welcome Dr. Karen L. Kaivola as Provost and Chief Academic Officer effective July 1.
Last week, the Augsburg community celebrated the accomplishments of its staff at the annual staff recognition event. In addition to naming those who have served at the College for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years, the community also recognized those selected for outstanding contribution awards.
Augsburg College celebrated its new Master of Fine Arts in creative writing with a reading by Stephan Clark from his newly published book Vladimir’s Mustache and Other Stories. Clark is an assistant professor of English and a member of the MFA faculty.
