The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at Augsburg College is an innovative program for nurses with a master’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing, offering two DNP tracks in Minnesota for students interested in graduate- and doctorate-level nurse practitioner programs. The DNP – Transcultural Nursing Leadership (TCN) track is a post-masters doctoral program with an emphasis in transcultural nursing leadership. The DNP – Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) track is a post-BSN Doctor of Nursing Practice program focused on the primary care of families.
Transcultural Nursing Leadership
The post-master’s Doctor of Nursing Practice, Transcultural Nursing Leadership (DNP-TCN) track prepares nurses for advanced transcultural nursing leadership in community life, integrating holistic practice modalities that uphold and improve human potential across care settings and care systems.
Family Nurse Practitioner
The post-BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner (DNP-FNP) track focuses on nursing leadership and integrative primary care of families across cultures and care settings. Graduates will be eligible to apply for certification as Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
