Augsburg offers several financing options for students in all programs including scholarships, grants, loans, tuition discounts for those who qualify, and payment plans.
Transfer Regents’ Scholarship
Awarded to new transfer students of high academic achievement with a grade point average of 2.75 or above based on one year or more of completed college coursework.
Amount: $12,000–$18,000 per year
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship*
Recognizes academically qualified transfer students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa and are transferring into the day college program with one semester minimum membership in Phi Theta Kappa.
Amount: $2,500 award for current PTK students as verified through a transcript or PTK advisor
The Two+Two Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all community college students and requires a minimum 2.0 GPA. Students complete up to 4 semesters at a community college and receive the Associates of Arts degree. Eligible students must also be PELL grant recipients, MN residents, and on track to finish their degree in 4 semesters. In combination with federal/state grants and student loans, tuition will be covered by Augsburg. Eligible students will have no out-of pocket costs for their tuition for two years.
Augsburg Legacy Scholarship*
Awarded to children or spouses of Augsburg graduates, siblings of current Augsburg students, or children or spouses of current ELCA pastors.
Amount: $12,000 per year; $1,000 per year for students who receive a Regents’ or Transfer Scholarship
Augsburg College Access Program (ACAP) Scholarship
Recognizes transfer students who participated in a college readiness program such as College Possible, Black Achievers, TRiO, or AVID.
Amount: $12,000 per year
The Augsburg Lutheran Scholarship*
Recognizes students who are members of a Lutheran congregation. Recipients need to notify the admissions office at the time of application to receive this award.
Amount: $1,000 per year
The Prime Scholarship*
Students who receive a scholarship from their Lutheran congregation will receive a match in scholarship dollars from Augsburg up to $750 per year. The scholarship form must be completed by both the student and the congregation.

Augsburg Page Scholarship
Students who receive a scholarship from the Page Foundation will receive a match in scholarship dollars from Augsburg up to $1,500 a year.
Amount: up to $1,500 per year
These competitive scholarships require a separate application and interview process.
The Fine Arts Scholarship*
The Fine Arts Scholarship recognizes incoming students who have excelled in art, film, music, speech team, or theater—including vocal and instrumental performance, acting, design, and production—and who plan to actively participate in the fine or performing arts at Augsburg. Applicants need not major in art, film, music, or theater but are required to participate in a student organization and/or a performance group. Applicants may apply in more than one area of the fine arts but may receive only one scholarship.
Amount: $3,000 per year
The AugSTEM Scholar Award*
The AugSTEM Scholar Award is designated for current and new transfer students who are within five semesters of graduating. Applicants must be full-time students in a STEM major (biology, biopsychology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics or physics) with a 3.0 GPA within their major. This award is available for U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents who demonstrate financial need via FAFSA. Application deadline is July 1st for fall term.
Amount: average award is $7,000

How to Apply for Financial Aid at Augsburg
- Your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be sent to Augsburg College. Go to the FAFSA website and choose “Add or Delete a School Code” under “FAFSA Follow-Up.” Augsburg’s code is 002334.
- After you receive a financial aid award letter from Augsburg, discuss it with a representative from the Student Financial Services Office to determine the best financing plan for you.
