Augsburg University recognizes students who have demonstrated outstanding academic, leadership, service, and extracurricular achievements through Augsburg’s scholarship program. Due to the generous amounts of our institutional scholarships, a student’s total scholarship award plus any state and/or federal grants cannot exceed the total cost of tuition at Augsburg.
Early Auggie Scholarship
Incoming transfer students who have an application received by the early application deadline will receive a renewable, $2,000 Early Auggie Scholarship upon admission.
*Applicants for the spring semester (2025) must apply by November 1, 2024. Those applying for fall semester (2025) must apply no later than March 15, 2025.

merit Transfer Scholarships
The following scholarships are awarded at the point of admission based on information that is provided in the application. Notification of the scholarships are done through the acceptance letter. Recipients must be enrolled full-time in the day program working towards their first bachelor’s degree and can only receive one of the following transfer scholarships.
Transfer Regents Scholarship
Awarded to new transfer students based on their cumulative grade point of average of one year or more of completed college coursework. Transfer students of exceptional academic ability with strong evidence of leadership potential will be considered for the higher end of the Transfer Regents Scholarship.
Amount: $23,000–$30,000 per year

The Two+Two Scholarship
This scholarship is available to community college students who complete either an Associate of Arts degree or the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) with 60 transferable credits in four semesters or less. Students must be Minnesota residents, eligible for the Pell Grant, and on track to complete their degree at Augsburg in four semesters. With the combination of federal and state grants, federal student loans, and Augsburg scholarships and grants, students will have no additional out-of-pocket costs for tuition for two years. Students will be responsible for fees, books, housing, and the amount of student loans they’re eligible to receive.
Augsburg Promise Scholarship
The Augsburg Promise Scholarship program acknowledges academic success and is designed to make Augsburg University affordable for students with demonstrated financial need.
Incoming transfer students will receive the total cost of tuition and standard fees (does not include room, board or books) through scholarships and grants if they meet certain eligibility requirements. Students must submit the FAFSA each year and remain Pell Grant eligible for the scholarship to renew. Augsburg Family Scholars
The Augsburg Family Scholars is a program to narrow the opportunity gap for students with foster care backgrounds, beginning in Fall 2022. The program is designed to work in tandem with the state-level support, but is open to any new or returning undergraduate student with a foster care background. Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Recognizes academically qualified transfer students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa and are transferring into the day undergraduate program with one semester minimum membership in Phi Theta Kappa.
Amount: $2,500 award for current PTK students as verified through a transcript or PTK advisor
The PRISM Scholar Award
The PRISM Scholar program is designed to support Augsburg juniors and seniors who wish to pursue a career in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Scholars also become a part of the STEM community at Augsburg with opportunities for summer research, faculty mentoring, and career development. For more information, visit the STEM Programs website.
American Indian Recognition Full Tuition Program
Augsburg’s American Indian Recognition Full Tuition Program aims to support and promote the importance of American Indian students on campus. The program will cover all remaining tuition and fees after federal and state gift aid has been applied for eligible students starting in Fall 2022.
