Application and Deadlines

Spring Application Deadline: Monday, January 7, 2025

We strongly encourage you to complete your application while you are enrolled at your current institution as soon as your anticipated entry term is available.  This allows time for you to complete the necessary steps to transfer to Augsburg and will provide you with optimal course selection.

Apply using the Augsburg Application

Apply in 3 Easy Steps:

1. Complete Augsburg’s online application

The application is free and usually takes about 15-20 minutes to complete. There is a short essay question to answer and you have the option to add a reference. You will receive a confirmation email once your application has been successfully submitted.

2. Request all official transcripts.

You must request an official transcript from each college or university where you have registered for courses.  We are unfortunately not able to accept transcripts sent directly from the applicant with their application.  Please see below for more information on requesting official transcripts.

3. Check the status of your application

Login to your application status page often to check the status of your application documents.  As transcripts are received and processed they will be updated accordingly.  Once your application has been reviewed, we will post your official decision letter complete with the number of transferable credits to your student portal.

Requesting Official Transcripts

Request your official transcript(s) by following the instructions on each college’s website. This is often through a service such as National Student Clearinghouse, eScrip, or Parchment. Most colleges require a nominal payment for an official transcript and can take up to 7-10 business days to be delivered to Augsburg.

If you need to enter an address or email recipient for your request, please use:

Augsburg University Admissions
Campus Box #143
2211 Riverside Avenue
Minneapolis, MN 55454

admissiondocs@augsburg.edu

An official high school transcript is only needed if you have completed fewer than 24 transferable college-level credits. We will automatically waive this once your official college transcripts have been received and processed if we are able to, otherwise please contact your high school to request an official high school transcript.

*In order to be considered official, transcripts must come directly from the sending institution to Augsburg. Transcripts sent by the student to Augsburg cannot be considered official.
