CONGRATULATIONS ON deciding TO ATTEND AUGSBURG!
We couldn’t be happier that you’ve made the decision to attend Augsburg. Be sure to complete the following items as soon as possible to set up your Augsburg email account, get registered for classes, and prepared for orientation.
Activate Your AugNet Account
Your AugNet account is your student account at Augsburg and it is where you will find your Augsburg email, credit evaluation, course registration, and much more.
As soon as you have submitted your Enrollment Decision Form you will want to Activate your AugNet account using your Augsburg Student ID (found on your acceptance letter) and contact the Tech Desk with questions. This will be a new and separate login from your student status page.
Complete the Math Placement Test
You may need to take the Math Placement test which will be populated to your student status page checklist if required. This is needed to place you in the correct math course and must be completed before you can register for classes. It only takes about 45 minutes and is completed online.
If you have completed the Accuplacer within the last 5 years, we may be able to waive your Math Placement test. We encourage you to send in your Accuplacer scores if you have either one of the following:

Accuplacer Next Gen Advanced Algebra and Functions score of 236 and above

Accuplacer Classic College-level Math exam score of 50 and above
Once you login to your Accuplacer scores, select the “Share Score Report” button and select Augsburg University as an institution to receive your individual score report before hitting submit.
Register for Classes with your Academic Advisor*
Once you have submitted your Enrollment Decision Form, activated your AugNet Account, and completed the Math Placement Test (if required), submit the final item on your student status page, which is the “Required Registration Appointment” form. Simply fill out this form to schedule your virtual advising and registration appointment with the Academic Advising Office.
Your Academic Advisor will send you a Zoom link the day prior to the appointment time. If you are required to take the Math Placement Test, this must be completed no later than 72 hours prior to your advising appointment. Attend your virtual advising appointment to register for classes with the guidance of your Academic Advisor.
*Registration Opens in April for students entering in the Fall and in November for students entering in the Spring
Additional Items to Complete
Attend Transfer Orientation (SOAR)
Transfer SOAR is a required transfer orientation on Tuesday, August 27th. SOAR helps you acclimate to our campus, meet other Auggies, and learn about student resources. You will also pick up important items such as your Student ID, key fob, and your free Metro Pass!
Complete Your Immunization Form
Submit your immunization form and required COVID-19 vaccination status or exemption form prior to starting in your classes.
New students must submit one of the following:
- You can upload vaccination cards on Augsburg’s secure upload site for students.
- Student vaccine exemption forms: student medical vaccine exemption form or student non-medical vaccine exemption form to file a vaccine exemption.
Parking Permits
Once you have registered for classes, you may register for a parking permit for on campus parking. Visit the Department of Public Safety webpage for permit registration dates and additional information. All Augsburg students receive a free Auggie Pass for unlimited rides on metro transit to navigate around the city and get to and from campus.
Get Your Textbooks
The Augsburg University Barnes & Noble Bookstore is located in the Oren Gateway Center. Textbooks are generally for sale or rent one month prior to the start of the term and can be ordered online or in person. Registered students can purchase books out of pocket or charge up to $750 to their student account.
