Transfer SOAR is taking place on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 for transfer students joining us in Fall of 2024. Students transferring in Spring 2024 will be required to attend Spring SOAR on Friday, January 17, 2024.
Register for TRANSFER OR SPRING SOAR
Register for Transfer SOAR by logging into your student status page and complete the “Required: Registration Appointment” form. This is also where you will schedule your appointment to register for classes with your Academic Advisor.
What is TRANSFER/SPRING SOAR?
Transfer/Spring SOAR is a required orientation program for all incoming Day transfer undergraduate students starting at Augsburg University in Spring 2025. designed to help with the transition to Augsburg. Students will learn about university resources and services; have a chance to ask questions; meet fellow students, faculty, and staff; and discover why being a part of the Augsburg community is so rewarding.
Are students required to ATTEND TRANSFER SOAR?
Yes. Transfer/Spring SOAR is required for all incoming Day undergraduate students starting at Augsburg University in Fall 2023 or Spring 2024.
What do students need to do prior to attending Spring SOAR?
- All incoming students need to register for their spring classes with the Office of Academic Advising prior to attending Spring SOAR. To register for classes, complete the “Required: Registration Appointment” form found on your student status page and meet with your Academic Advisor.
- All incoming students need to meet with a Financial Aid Specialist. To make an appointment, contact Student Financial Services at studentfinances@augsburg.
edu or 612-330-1046 or you can schedule an appointment online by clicking HERE. Student Financial Services also takes day-of walk-in appointments during business hours. Note: Make sure your FAFSA has been completed and has been sent to Augsburg University. - Transfer students should visit the Deposited Transfer Student webpage and make sure they have attended to all of the information shared on the page. When do students who will be living on campus for Spring SOAR move into their residence hall?
Students will receive information on their specific move-in date and time from the Department of Residence Life. For additional move-in questions, or if you wish to learn more about how to live on campus, please contact Residence Life at residencelife@augsburg.edu or 612-330-1526.

Any student with a disability-related concern in regards to Spring SOAR should contact the CLASS/Disability Resources Office at class@augsburg.edu or 612-330-1053. Contacting CLASS two or more weeks prior to SOAR will help ensure that all necessary arrangements will be available.
