Your journey starts here
At Augsburg University, we’re committed to helping students discover options to fund their college career. Through the Augsburg Possible Scholarship, students begin their educational journey on a tuition-free pathway. This means that, for eligible first-year students, Augsburg will cover the remaining balance of tuition after other merit-based scholarships, grants, and tuition waivers have been applied. And, so long as a student continues to meet eligibility requirements, tuition support will continue for the remaining three years—matching our initial investment, dollar for dollar.
To qualify, students must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Be starting at Augsburg in Fall 2027 or later.
- Be admitted as a full-time, first-year or transfer student in our Undergraduate Day Program.
- Be a Minnesota resident and receiving the Minnesota State Grant or the Minnesota Dream Grant.
- Be receiving the Federal Pell Grant.
- Have a family Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) as reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Minnesota Alternative State Financial Aid Application, below $80,000.
- Not be in default on a state or federal student loan.
- Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards.
- Have not already earned a baccalaureate degree (including those earned in a foreign country).
Students who meet these requirements will have the total cost of tuition—not including fees, room, meal plan, or books—covered through scholarships and grants during their first year at Augsburg. The initial scholarship amount will roll forward for an additional three years, and the student will be responsible for covering any tuition increases.
