In the Augsburg College Education Department, we believe in preparing knowledgeable, responsive teachers committed to educating all learners in a diverse and changing world. Developing a greater understanding of your vocation as a teacher is as important as developing the knowledge, skills, and practice of a teacher.
The Education Department offers a number of unique program elements that enable you to develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions of a beginning teacher while helping to clarify your vocational goals. Read more about why you should study education at Augsburg on our Program Introduction page.
Augsburg College participates in NExT, Network for Excellence in Teaching, an initiative of the Bush Foundation. The college is also part of TC2, the Twin Cities Teacher Collaborative, which is a program of NExT.
