I received a BS in Biology from Davidson College. I earned my Ph.D. in Anatomy and Cell Biology from the Medical College of Virginia and completed 4 years of postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School. I have had faculty appointments at Harvard and Tufts Medical Schools where I taught first year medical students Anatomy and Cell Biology and directed an NIH funded research laboratory. I have also been a part of, or founded, several technology start-up companies. The most recent was etta Healthcare, a Point of Care Molecular Diagnostics Company which was recently acquired by to OvaGene Oncology. Since, I have returned to academia for my “second” academic career at Augsburg University where I teach in the MBA and PA Programs as well as serve as the Director of the MBA Program.
