Experience Campus for Yourself
Explore our college in the city by meeting with an Admissions Counselor and touring campus with an Auggie Guide. Being an Auggie for the day can help you get a better feel for what it’s like to live, learn, work, and play on Augsburg’s campus every day!
Before you come, scroll through photos of campus and listen to what life here is like from current Auggies with our virtual tour in these formats:
Schedule an Individual Campus Visit
Come and see campus and get your questions answered about what Augsburg has to offer. Campus visits begin with an hour tour of Augsburg followed by an optional counselor interview which lasts approximately 30 minutes. Visits are held Monday – Friday during the below times pending counselor availability.
To schedule an individual campus visit and tour, register below or call the Admissions Office at 612-330-1001 or 1-800-788-5678 at least three days prior to your visit day. We will confirm all visits by sending out a campus map with directions and a parking permit.
Admitted undergraduate students are invited to attend our annual open house called “Destination: Augsburg” where you will get a glimpse of what it’s really like to be an Auggie through an interactive experience. You can choose to take a campus tour; talk with current students, faculty, staff, and recent alums; meet with financial aid; tour the residence halls; explore your future home via city and neighborhood tours; enjoy some great food; and much more!
Take a Saturday Group Tour
Saturday group tours are a great “first look” of our campus primarily for high school freshman, sophomores, and juniors along with their families that are beginning their college search. Touring on one of our select Saturdays will also allow you the opportunity to attend an information session with one of our Admissions Counselors following your group tour of campus.
Seniors in high school are encouraged to schedule an individual visit Monday – Friday when classes are in session, campus departments are available, and student activities are in full swing.
Saturday group tours begin at 10:00 AM and registration is available for the following dates:
Hmong campus visit day
We invite prospective students from the Hmong community for a visit day on Thursday, March 30th from 3:30 – 6:30pm. Learn about the undergraduate admission process, scholarships, academic programs, student support services, enjoy a campus tour and more! You will get to hear from staff across the campus in departments from Pan-Asian Student Services, Academic Advising, TRIO/SSS, Student Financial Services, and our Counseling & Wellness Center. There will also be a Hmong student panel where you get to ask questions about their college experience.
The event is open to high school, transfer, and adult undergraduate students and their parent/guardian(s) and dinner will be served. Campus tours will be in Hmong and a translator will be available during all presentations.

Overnight visits can be scheduled during the academic year for students in their senior year of high school that have been accepted to Augsburg College. Please call the Admissions Office at 612-330-1001 or 1-800-788-5678 to schedule your overnight visit at least two weeks in advance so we can create the best experience for you.
Visiting overnight can help you decide if Augsburg is the right fit for you. You can also add a day visit before or after the overnight to sit in on classes or talk with faculty or coaches.
For classroom and co-curricular groups, visits are scheduled on Tuesday mornings and Wednesday afternoons. Group visits are for high schools only, approved on a first-come, first-served basis and are expected to have at least one chaperone per 10 students. The chaperone must stay with the group at all times. Groups may not be larger than 50 students. It is important to know that no buses are allowed to park on campus while your group is visiting.
For all group visits, please contact our visit coordinator, Brenda Hemmingsen, at 612-330-1001 to learn more about preparing your visit for the 2016-2017 academic year.
