Campus Visits
A visit to Augsburg is the best way to determine if you are meant to be an Auggie.
Explore our college in the city by meeting with an admissions counselor and touring campus with an Auggie Guide.
Your meeting with an admissions counselor helps us to get to know you and gives you an opportunity to ask questions about Augsburg, the admission process, and scholarships. Counselor visits last approximately 30 minutes. After your visit with the counselor, an Auggie Guide will give you a campus tour and share their Augsburg experience with you. The campus tour lasts approximately one hour.
Individual Campus Visits
Let us personalize your day! We are here to assist you with an Admissions visit and campus tour. Have you thought about sitting in on a class, participating in a rehearsal, or requesting an individual visit with a faculty member? Being an Auggie for the day can help you get a better feel for what it’s like to live it, eat it, breathe it. These experiences and more await you during the academic year (September – April).
Campus visit are held Monday through Friday throughout the summer (May – August), and begin at 9 and 11 am or in the afternoon at 1 and 3 pm. During this time you will have a visit with an Admissions Counselor and a tour of campus with an Auggie Guide.
Please note that Augsburg College will be closed on the following days:
- Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5 in observation of Independence Day
Call the Admissions Office at 612-330-1001 or 1-800-788-5678 to schedule a Counselor visit and tour at least two days prior to your visit day. If you are requesting a more detailed ‘Auggie for the day’ experience, we kindly ask for a one week notification for scheduling purposes. We will confirm all visits by sending out a campus map with directions and a parking permit.

Overnight Visits
Overnight visits are scheduled from mid-September to mid-April for students in their senior year of high school. Please call to schedule your visit at least two weeks in advance so we can create the best experience for you.
Visiting overnight can help you decide if Augsburg is the right fit for you. You can also add a day visit before or after the overnight to sit in on classes or talk with faculty or coaches.
Group Visits
For all group visits, please contact our Visit Coordinator, Brenda Hemmingsen, at 612-330-1001 to learn more about preparing your visit for the 2013-2014 academic year.
For classroom and co-curricular groups, visits are scheduled on Wednesdays. Group visits are approved on a first-come, first-serve basis. Groups are expected to have at least one chaperone per 10 students; the chaperone must stay with the group at all times. Groups may not be larger than 50 students.
