In the City - Turning Beer into Food: A Story of a Social Entrepreneur

Wednesday, June 27th, Christensen Center, Augsburg College

Join us for happy hour, enjoy some Finnegans beer, and hear CEO and co-founder Jacquie Berglund '87 tell the story of Finnegans, the first beer producer to give 100 percent of its profits to charity. In 2011, Finnegans' goal is to donate 265,000 meals to those in need and to provide fresh produce to families in Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and South Dakota.

Jacquie says she loves discovering ways to create community wealth, and she never passes on an opportunity to advise others about how to become social entrepreneurs. She attributes her success to a sound business plan, a lot of hard work, and a little Irish luck!

Next, learn how you can earn a graduate certificate in social entrepreneurship or a graduate degree in business (MBA), leadership (MAL), education (MAE) , or nursing (MANursing/DNP). Information sessions on each degree program will last one hour.

Graduate programs are offered in many formats, including weeknights, weekends, hybrid (combination online/on-campus) and low residency. Many programs can be completed in a two year time frame. Augsburg College's main campus is located "In the City" of Minneapolis.
