This program takes place in Karlsruhe, Germany, and Minneapolis, USA. It takes advantage of a relationship with the Karlsruhe Berufsakademie (a business university in Germany) to offer joint courses. In Germany, German students will join US students for instruction and some program activities. In Minneapolis the US students will join the Germans for instruction and some program activities. In addition to lectures, students will participate in case studies together. A weekend excursion to Munich and Dachau's concentration camp is included.

Located in the Rhine Valley, Karlsruhe is situated in the region that is world-renown for high tech industry and innovation. Students on the program will take advantage of the region by visiting global firms in the area and meeting with local business leaders. Students will also take part in local cultural activities and learn about German culture and customs.

The European Union (EU) and the United States (US) represent two powerful economic forces as well as significantly large markets. Their relationship, history, and activity effect trade and economics globally.

BUS 362 views international business from a global perspective of foreign governments, including the US government, focusing more specifically on the relationships between the EU and US as well as their business practices, policies, and strategies. Update: Only BUS 362 will be offered.
