Study Abroad
There are so many options available to students for international study, actively supported by international business faculty and provided through Augsburg’s International Partners and through Augsburg Abroad. Many students have successfully completed major courses as well as core requirements abroad on both short-term and semester programs in several different countries.
Nature and vocation on Kilimanjaro — Summer 2013
For the summer of 2013, our very own Professor Jennifer Grant will be leading a study abroad trip to Tanzania. This program will fulfill the keystone requirement for business majors (KEY 490: Vocation and the Meaning of Success). It also fulfills the Augsburg Experience requirement and a lifetime fitness activity. Travel dates are May 21-June 8, 2013 with on-campus sessions held before and after the Tanzania portion of the program. Applications are currently being accepted! Learn more and apply on the Augsburg Abroad – Tanzania site.
International business and Spanish in Mexico
Spend the fall semester in Cuernavaca, Mexico, the City of the Eternal Spring. The Mexico: Crossing Borders semester program, which is offered through the Center for Global Education at Augsburg College, focuses on the bilateral economic relationship between Mexico and the United States. Key highlights include an opportunity to finish two levels of Spanish, delve into an internship focusing on your major area, and interact with local officials and guest speakers.
Students will see first hand how the signing of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) has affected both countries since 1994. Several travel experiences are part of the program, including a seminar in Mexico City and Acapulco.
