Augsburg Policy (5.22) Paid Time for Community Service
Regular full-time and regular part-time staff are eligible for two days leave with pay each calendar year to volunteer with their chosen community or religious organization. Examples of community service projects might include working with Habitat for Humanity, working at a homeless shelter, or serving on the board of a community group.
Time off for community service must be approved in advance by the employee’s supervisor.
On your absence reports and timesheets, please code this absence as "C", Community Service. The forms on Human Resources’ public drive on Augnet have been updated with this code.

The Center for Service, Work, and Learning is happy to assist anyone interested in finding community service opportunities to match their interests. If you don’t already have an opportunity in mind, please call CSWL at x1148.
