2017 Centered Life Series: Lunch for Luther • Wednesdays, October 18, 25, & November 2

12:00 – 1:30 p.m.

The 500th anniversary of the Reformation is at hand. These lunchtime presentations and conversations will focus on Reformation breakthroughs regarding justice, freedom, and vocation. Presented by Dr. Hans Wiersma.

Tickets are $45 and grant entrance to all three events, which will be held at Luther Seminary, 2481 Como Ave, St. Paul, MN 55108 in the Olson room, near the cafeteria. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch or purchase lunch at Luther Seminary. Parking is free.

2018 Centered Life: Vocation and the Myth of Retirement • Wednesdays, February 21, 28, & March 7

12:00 – 1:30 p.m.

Each week we will address a particular theme. The first week will be, “Martin Luther’s Vocation Revolution”. The second week will be, “Your Vocation is Over When You are Under”. The final week will be, “Aging Well and the Called Life”. Presented by Dr. Mark Tranvik.

Tickets are $45 and grant entrance to all three events, which will be held at Luther Seminary, 2481 Como Ave, St. Paul, MN 55108 in the Olson room, near the cafeteria. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch or purchase lunch at Luther Seminary. Parking is free.

2018 Centered Life Series: The Promise of Grace in Life’s Third Chapter: Exploring Aging Adventures in Biblical Narratives • Wednesdays, April 18, 25, & May 2

12:00 – 1:30 p.m.

In this brief three-part series we will explore together a few of the Biblical narratives that center around folks in their third chapter of life with an eye towards grappling with current issues of aging.   Featured will be Abraham and Sarah, Naomi and Boaz, Isaac and Rebekah, Zachariah and Elizabeth, and the Prodigal’s father. Presented by Dr. Diane Jacobson.
