How do I Request My Tickets?
Commencement 2018 ticket requests and distribution will be fully online. When you complete the Commencement Participation and Ticket Request Form (required in order to let us know if you’ll be participating in the ceremony and to request your tickets) your guaranteed tickets will be distributed automatically and digitally.
Access to this form and tickets requests will be available beginning on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 7:00 a.m. CST.
How Many Tickets Do I Get?
Because of limited seating, each candidate is allocated up to four guaranteed guest tickets. In order to get your tickets, you need to fill out the online Commencement Participation and Ticket Request Form and indicate the number of tickets that you will need for your guests when the form becomes available.
The deadline for form submission is Friday, March 30, 2018. After that date, we cannot guarantee ticket availability.
Who Needs a Ticket?
All guests, including infants and children, need a ticket. Graduating students DO NOT need tickets.
Is There Seating for the Disabled and Elderly?
The majority of available general admission seating is on bleachers. However, reserved seating for the disabled and elderly is available on a first-come, first-served basis on the main floor. If you will require special seating for guests, you will need to notate the total number of tickets that you will need on the online form.
If you know you will have guests in a wheelchair attending the ceremony, please notify us ahead of time by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can be prepared to assist your guest.
There is also specially designated seating for those guests with visual or hearing impairments. If you know you will have guests coming that will require special seating in this section, please email us at email@example.com.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have guests that need to be seated in the mobility access section, ONE additional family member is allowed to sit in that section with them. For example, if you have two relatives that require special seating, you may request up to THREE special seating tickets. Or, if you have one relative that requires special seating, you may request up to TWO special seating tickets. Any other guests will get general admission tickets and would not be able to sit in the special seating area.
Can I get Extra Tickets?
Students may have the opportunity to request extra tickets on a first come, first serve basis if they become available. A limited amount of tickets may be released to be requested in the same way you requested your guaranteed tickets. Announcements about extra ticket availability and total number each student can request will be made in mid March.
When Will Tickets be Mailed?
Your guaranteed tickets will be distributed electronically instantly after completion of the Commencement Participation and Ticket Request Form.
You MUST fill out the Commencement Participation and Ticket Request form to get your tickets.
What do I do if I lost my tickets?
If you feel that you have lost your tickets, please contact the University Events department immediately at 612.330.1104. We will be able to reissue your original tickets digitally. NOTE: These digitally reissued tickets will completely void and replace your original tickets.
Livestream of Ceremony
If you have additional friends and family that would like to be able to see you participate in Commencement, but were unable to get tickets or are unable to travel to Minneapolis, each ceremony will be streamed online. To view your ceremony, guests can visit www.augsburg.edu/commencement and there will be a streaming window on the main page on the day of the event.
