Ceremony Eligibility and Deadlines

Approved Intent to Graduate Form – Soft Deadline: March 1

Only students who have an approved Intent to Graduate (ITG) Form on file in the Registrar’s Office for the ceremony year of 2025 will be eligible to participate in the ceremony. The form can be found on the Registrar’s website forms page under the Graduation section. Please note that there are two versions of the form and choose the version appropriate for you.

Only students who have an approved ITG form on file in the Registrar’s Office for the 2025 ceremony will:

  • receive communications about the commencement ceremony from the Events office
  • be able to order commencement tickets for themselves and their guests
  • be able to participate in the ceremony and receive any other Class of 2025 benefits

The soft deadline is March 1. Students who submit complete ITG forms after March 1 may not receive all of the benefits that the other Class of 2025 members receive.

Students are Eligible for only One Commencement Ceremony – Soft Deadline: April 1

Augsburg’s policy is that students can only be identified with one commencement ceremony per degree. If you are receiving communications for the 2025 ceremony and would prefer to be identified with the 2026 ceremony instead (so that you can participate in the 2026 ceremony instead), please send an email to graduation@augsburg.edu, asking to be deferred to the 2026 ceremony. The soft deadline is April 1.

How to receive your award certificates, stoles, or honors cords

Latin Honors cords and Honors Program cords will be distributed at the Honors Convocation. If you are unable to attend the Convocation and qualified for a cord, you can pick up your cord from the Registrar’s Office Graduation Team at the Enrollment Center, beginning the morning after the Honors Convocation. Certificates and stoles are distributed by the appropriate organization, program, or team. Check with your organization, program, or team if you have any questions.
